Position summary
We are looking for an organized and proactive Logistics Officer to join our team in Piraeus. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the flow of goods, materials, and documentation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to our clients and partners. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a logistics, shipping, or supply chain environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily logistics operations including shipping, receiving, and inventory management
- Communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport companies to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation (e.g. invoices, packing lists, customs forms)
- Create and manage Packing Lists and ensure accurate documentation for all shipments
- Organize and monitor Readiness of shipments before dispatch
- Arrange and manage parcel deliveries for domestic customers and transport companies
- Coordinate and process international shipments, including creation of Air Waybills (AWB) for couriers (e.g. DHL, FedEx)
- Send Readiness reminders to shipping companies and ensure timely collection
- Track and monitor exchange processes with maritime clients
- Issue and manage MD (Material Declaration), SDOCS, and other accompanying certification and documentation
- Handle import/export procedures and ensure compliance with international trade regulations
- Monitor and track shipments and update relevant internal systems
- Collaborate with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure accurate stock levels and delivery timelines
- Resolve any issues related to shipments, delays, or damaged goods
- Maintain organized records of logistics activities and documentation
- Communicate with maritime and transport companies to confirm delivery schedules and deadlines
- Provide logistics support to other departments as needed
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in logistics, preferably in a technical or maritime industry
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (Greek & English)
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics NAV) is a plus
- Understanding of import/export regulations and shipping processes
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Fulfilled military obligations (if applicable)
