Make strong, accurate signals a part of your industry! With our innovative technologies, we make signal conditioning smarter and simpler. Our portfolio is offering a wide range of analog and digital modules covering over a thousand applications in industrial and factory automation.
Our devices can be found in marshalling cabinets, field junction boxes as well as inside temperature connection heads and field enclosures.
Check below some of our top products’ applications to your everyday needs.
3104 Isolated Converter
A 2-wire pressure transmitter is used for level indication. This transmitter must be energized and measured with an isolator to avoid noise issues. The 6 mm PR 3104 isolated converter is the perfect device to meet these challenges. It provides high accuracy measurements, and its slim housing makes it a great solution in applications with limited space in the control cabinet.
3109 Isolated Converter / Splitter
In a reverse osmosis system, measurements like flow, pressure, and temperature are necessary, and in this case, all are measured with two-wire transmitters. The output signals from these transmitters are connected to a local control panel and the main PLC. The PR 3109 isolated converter / splitter is an excellent solution that powers the two-wire transmitters and provides high isolation between input and both outputs. This is a great replacement solution for older systems where one input is repeated using an extra analog output on the PLC. Our solution results in increased signal accuracy with super-fast response time and the spare PLC analog output channels are now available for other tasks.
4116 Universal Transmitter
Flexible and stable monitoring – with the option of easy and quick configuration.
The 4116 Universal transmitter is a great choice for this type of application. Since it can be energized by a wide range of AC and DC voltage, the PR 4116 is easily installed into existing control cabinets. It is capable of measuring either Pt100 or Cu10 RTD types without modification. Additionally, it has very good long-term stability, eliminating the need for calibration in this application – other transmitters might require regular zero and span calibration.
Covers 98% of all standard applications, helps reduce stock and keep production up and running.
4179 Universal AC / DC Transmitter
In a coal-fired power plant, using the force of an induced electrostatic charge, an electrostatic precipitator (ESP) is used to remove ash, dust and smoke from flue gas so it does not pass into the atmosphere.
Accurate measurements of the primary electrostatic transformer current are necessary to keep a stable process. By using a 1000/1 current transformer connected to a PR 4179 AC/DC transmitter, the 4179 transmitter converts the AC-measurement to a standard 4…20 mA signal directed to the DCS. The 2.3 kV isolation in the 4179 provides excellent noise immunity, and protects the non-isolated PLC.
9106B I.S. Barrier
Wastewater is treated with chemicals in order to increase effluent quality and ensure optimal conditions for water treating bacteria. Due to the harsh nature of many of these chemicals, it is very important to dose them correctly and therefore dosing stations are used to control the flow of chemicals into the influent. Signals from both the pressure transmitters and the temperature transmitters are directed back to the safe area using the PR 9106B HART transparent repeater.
A redundant system with 2 differential pressure transmitters is required. Each transmitter is connected to the PR 9106B HART transparent repeater, the signal is split, one output is connected directly to the control system and the other is connected to an independent data logging system for documentation purposes. This solution detects line plugging and gives adequate time to act before a reversal of catalyst incident occurs.
